Silk Museum
Here's about a minute of footage from the Silk Museum. E and I agreed that we absoulutely had no understanding of the techology of weaving, much less weaving silk. There was some embroidery that was ridiculous. Enjoy the video.
The silk loom is fascinating. I always wondered how they could mix different thread colors to make embroidry patterns.
I would like to work in a place like that, working on the loom, making the embroidery pattern, ( not the one above the loomer), or have my own loom at home, a smaller portable version.
