I Can Sew!
I discovered a hole in my pocket today when I was standing there, minding my own business, and I heard the tinkle of one kuai dribble around my right food.
After a bowl of liang mian (not sure what kind of animal organ I ate, but it was delicious and only 2 kuai... fifteen cents?) I went up to my room and found that emergency sewing kit I stole from the hotel.
Yes, I did a bad job. Yes, I sewed part of the pocket to itself, so now my pocket has a divider. I never claimed to be able to sew well.
A few hours ago, I was chatting with the lovely Dr. B, who told me "a good job is easier to find than a good life," validating my desire to stay in Seattle. But then I changed my mind again, and if you asked me right this second, I would tell you I was moving to Shanghai; Seattle will be there when I get back.
Don't worry, I will change my mind for good several more times before my final decision is set in stone. I'm not really a fan of this much personal drama, but I am a fan of regret, so I know whatever I choose, I will always be wondering, ah, if only...

How long would your obligation to be in Shanghai be? Can you take a leave of absence from your high school for, say, a year, while you're figuring out Shanghai? If you find that you hated it, come back. Rent your house in the meanwhile.
