So, I can't access my comments from China, thanks to a government block on blogger. I can, however, post through email, and I do have a tricky way of seeing my own blog. When readers post comments, I see them in my email, but I can't access them.
So here I will address some of your comments:
1) Three eggs is way too much in a day. I eat two now, at breakfast, and between classes, I eat some beef jerky that I found at the student store. Today was my first day of my protein counter-attack, and it worked! I didn't doze off even once today!
2) The only rice I've found in China so far is white rice and fried white rice. I know other kinds are available, but not in the student cantina where I have three meals a day. By the way, for lunch today, I had roast beef, tofu, and greens. And an ear of corn, which they thought was weird since it was a) not breakfast, b) not cold, and c) not rice. They can think I'm strange; I'm not Chinese. I sat with the Columbian woman who put soy sauce on her rice.
3) Irrigating your sinuses with saltwater is awesome. Just mix up some warm salt water, pour some into your hand, and snort it. It will go up your nose and wash around in your sinuses, it doesn't hurt (if the water is salty enough), it cleans out your snot, and it only costs the price of salt. No special equipment. At first I was afraid I would drown (seriously), and then the first time I did it, my nose ran all day from junk finding its way out after 32 years of safety up my noses. But after that I knew what it was like to breath through both nostrils and have air hit the back of my sinuses. See if you can get Zhejiang Province salt.
So the mosquitoes found our room last night. I couldn't sleep because of a cold I'm shaking, so I got up to check email, and my roommate woke up then too. At first I apologized for waking him up, but he said he was glad, and he turned on the lights and killed a blood-filled mosquito. I killed another one this morning. There's another one in here, I saw it, and I'm going to smash it to hell when I see it again.
Three bites on my right arm. They're going away, thanks to the anti-persperant. I also started to get an itchy hive on my chest.... I didn't know what to do about that, so I washed it and put anti-persperant on that as well. It's gone now.
I'm starting to consider that the cold I have might be an allergic reaction to mosquito bites. I have some benadryl with me, that I will take around bed time. In the mean time, I've been taking Airborne, and E gave me some sudafed.
Speaking of mosquitoes, they're not letting my sister send me some skin-so-soft lotion/bug repellent in the mail. Liquids! Dang! I will have to use a Chinese product after all.
Later this afternoon: one-on-one tone torture, and then taijichuan.

You have the stealth blogging skills of a dissident!
My son has a friend who douses rice with soy sauce--lots of soy sauce. His mom's from Poland, but I don't know if the kid learned it from her or on his own.
I am shocked that China lets you Blog at all!
I like dousing my rice with soy sauce. So long as it's "Aloha Shoyu."
Yum breakfast in China sounds perfect.
