9:36 am. It sounds like there are fireworks going off. I've noticed a lot of fighter jets streaking over head.
My laundry is hanging out to dry now. I need to buy a balaybayan for socks. Only God knows how to say balaybayan in English. I'm sure there's a good Chinese word for it.
I think I'll be washing t-shirts, underwear, and socks in the sink every night. No need to save them for a laundry day; I can reuse them faster and then save space on the clothes line. Short clothes lines discriminate against fat people.
My mosquito bites are in the double digits, but they are not itchy. The only times I notice is a) when I'm looking for them, or b) when I wake up in the morning and my nose is filled with histimine induced snot. I need to buy a little shaker of table salt so I can irrigate my sinuses... it will be fun trying to explain to that to anyone in Chinese... I snort salt water in order to flush out mucus... the only thing about that sentence I can express is the word "I." I can probably say "nose" too.
Yesterday, a guy trying to sell me stuff called out "handsome man!" I assumed he was talking about my roommate, but roommate insists it was directed toward me. Oh great, a street hawker things I'm handsome, I'll take that isht right to the bank...
For breakfast I had leftover beef and vegetables. And yogurt, of course. Subway subs are scheduled for lunch, for some reason. I may still go out and have a second breakfast. Right now.
