I think this is the fish and bird market, apparent from all the chirping.

My roommate asked me if Americans thought Tibet should be it's own country. Ah, politics. I said, yes, many Americans who follow the Lama think that Tibet is it's own country. I don't really have the conversational skills (or the desire) to say more than that.
