I don't speak Chinese

So my sister thought it would be a good idea for me to record myself trying to speak Chinese. Then, when I get back from China, after six week of speaking chinese exclusively, I can see the difference.

I did the intro in Spanish; you'll notice I used my teacher accent with all the syllable-final "s," it may take a while for my Spanish to get back to normal. I definitely said "yo habla china" which, is the country, not the language, but oh well. After the intro, you'll see my attempt to speak Mandarin. You'll notice I only said the most basic things, which is a little cowardly, but I wasn't sure what else to say.

Can't wait to see the "after photo" - in which, I predict: thinking about tones will no longer dominate your syllable length, and you won't feel the need to experiment with rephrasing so much.

Have a blast -- I'm a little jealous. Not hugely jealous, but a little.

That's cool. What I like about the video is watching the way that a language shapes a face, y'know what I mean? V. cool effect.
